Trailside Elementary School involved the construction of a 103,000 SF new elementary school north of the heart of Cedar Rapids. Built to accommodate the combined student population from the existing elementary schools, totaling nearly 600 students, community involvement was pivotal throughout the planning process, with local stakeholders contributing to the school's design to ensure it meets the needs of both students and teachers. This collaborative effort promises to create a nurturing and innovative educational environment where young minds can flourish.
